Representative Alan Grayson is the Democratic Congressman in Florida’s 8th congressional district. He defeated four-term incumbent Republican Ric Keller in the 2008 congressional election, for which he already deserves some applause. Representative Grayson graduated from Harvard College, received his law degree from Harvard Law School, and received his Master of Public Policy degree from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Representative Grayson also happens to be awesome.
Check out this video of Rep. Grayson’s exchange with Federal Reserve General Counsel Scott Alvarez. Scott Alvarez does his best to not answer several questions, but Rep. Grayson won’t let him weasel out of them. We really need more people like Alan Grayson in Congress. Let your Representatives know that you want demand transparency in government operations. The Federal Reserve should not be allowed to operate under a veil of secrecy.
